On October 2, 2018 our very own, Shakiera Causey, was honored at the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Office of Alumni Relations' third-annual 40 Under 40 Alumni Awards Gala. The award recognizes young NCCU alumni who have made significant contributions in the arts, entertainment, healthcare, sciences, educations, law, business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, public service, or government. Shakiera was honored for her accomplishments in education and philanthropic community efforts.
